Moving Classrooms Forward
A 30-Mile Fitness Challenge Supporting Teachers & Classrooms
Teachers do far more than teach. They encourage, support, inspire, mentor, comfort, motivate, and often spend their own money to help students succeed.
Moving Classrooms Forward was created to celebrate educators while helping provide real classroom support through community-funded classroom grants.
Whether you are a teacher, school staff member, parent, supporter, or simply someone who believes educators deserve better support, you are invited to join us.
Challenge Details
The challenge officially begins August 1, 2026. Participants are encouraged to complete 30 miles throughout the month — roughly one mile a day — through walking, running, hiking, biking, workouts, active minutes, or any movement that works for you.
There are no pace requirements and no deadline to finish. This is an all-ability challenge designed to encourage movement with purpose while supporting teachers and classrooms.
Challenge Rewards Shipping Information
Shirts typically ship approximately 2–3 weeks from the date of purchase.
Finisher medals are awarded for challenge completion and will begin shipping in late August 2026.
Classroom Grant Program
For every qualifying shirt or medal purchased, $5 will be added to the Classroom Grant Pool.
These funds will go directly toward helping teachers purchase classroom supplies through Amazon wish lists.
Main Grant Round
Applications for the first round of classroom grants are open now.
Five recipients will be selected during the main grant round.
The total Classroom Grant Pool collected through June 30, 2026 will be divided equally among the five selected recipients, meaning the more participants who join the challenge, the larger the classroom grants become.
Important Dates
Extended Impact Grants
Beginning August 1, 2026, new Extended Impact Grants will continue to be awarded each time the Classroom Grant Pool grows by an additional $100.
Recipients will be selected from remaining qualified applicants, allowing the community to continue helping fund classrooms even after the initial grant round has ended.
Grant Application Information

Selected recipients will receive classroom supplies purchased directly from their submitted Amazon wish lists.
